Protests against the contentious Citizenship Amendment Act seem to have spilled all across the country. Now, filmmaker Mira Nair has taken to Twitter to share that one of the actresses of her upcoming film, 'A Suitable Boy', was beaten up and jailed for protesting in Lucknow and demanded her release. She also added, 'This is our India now - Appalling...! Join me in demanding her release.' Many celebs including Farhan Akhtar, Siddharth, Anurag Kashyap, Swara Bhasker and more have shown their support for anti-CAA protests rocking the country.
