Arvind Kejriwal recently took a dig at the latest hit film ‘The Kashmir Files’ by saying that director Vivek Agnihotri should upload the film on YouTube for everyone to watch. Kejriwal’s statement came on the Delhi Assembly Floor when the topic of making the film tax-free in the nation’s capital came up. Fuming at his remark about the film, several BJP ministers have slammed the Delhi CM for showing disrespect to the film. BJP Delhi chief Adesh Gupta said that it showed the AAP leader’s insensitivity towards the plight of Kashmiri pandits. Gupta who attended the special screening of ‘The Kashmir Files’ slammed Kejriwal for not attending the screening as he was afraid that a particular community would get angry with him. Another MLA Vijender Gupta shared old tweets of Kejriwal where he critiqued or promoted Hindi movies, saying, 'Kejriwal was once mistaken for an official Hindi movie critic, Today, he is lecturing on movie promotion'. BJP VP Baijayant Jay Panda referred to the Delhi CM as anarchist as he wrote in his tweet, ‘Bad enough that #ArvindKejriwal made other movies tax free but denies it to one that finally shows Kashmiri Hindus’ ethnic cleansing. But his sarcastic sneering about it in assembly shows a sick mind. Remember it every time this anarchist hides his true self behind faux patriotism’. For more news and updates, stay tuned to ETimes.
