Bappi Lahiri collapsed in daughter Rema Lahiri's arms: Report Bappi Lahiri's sudden demise has left his fans in grief. The 'Disco King' passed away due to multiple health issues on February 15. According to a report published in a news portal, Bappi Da was admitted to Mumbai's CritiCare Hospital a month ago as he was suffering from Obstructive Sleep Apnea and recurrent chest infection and was discharged on Monday. But, after his health started deteriorating at home, he was brought back to the hospital. However, he did not recover and passed away at about 11.45 pm on February 15. The iconic musician collapsed in the arms of his daughter Rema. Quoting Bappi Da's family friend, the report states, 'Bappi Da had Covid last year and after that his condition worsened. He never recovered from it. His son Bappa is slated to reach India tonight. Bappi Da collapsed in his daughter Rema’s arms. His daughter Rema was the last person he was speaking to. The entire family is devastated.' Bappi Lahiri's last rites will be held on February 17 after his son Bappa Lahiri returns from Los Angeles. Bappi's family released a statement which reads, 'It’s a deeply sad moment for us. Our beloved Bappi Da left for heavenly abode last midnight. The cremation will take place on the arrival of Bappa from LA tomorrow mid-morning. We are seeking love and blessings for his soul.' For more news and updates, stay tuned to ETimes.
