Anupam Kher shares an update on his wife Kirron Kher's health: 'She is much better'

Earlier this year, when Anupam Kher announced that his wife, actress-MP Kirron Kher had been diagnosed with cancer, the whole Bollywood fraternity came out to shower her with love and positivity, praying for her speedy recovery. Worried fans, too, left her get well soon messages on social media. Now, the senior actor has some good news for his wife's well-wishers. He has shared an update on Kirron and said that she is recovering well. Recently when asked about her health, the actor replied, 'She is much better.' He went on to reveal details about how the family is coping with the health crisis of their beloved. Kher says, 'It is a very natural phenomena to support people near you, and that is what I have been doing. Aur baaki toh kuch nahi kar sakte hum. Doctors are doing their best job. We have got the best doctors around and I can only be positive and optimistic and believe in the brilliance of doctors and pray.' He adds, 'My brother is also a cancer survivor, [so there is hope]. Being optimistic and choosing to be happy always helps in every way.' Back in April, when reports of Kirron Kher's cancer diagnosis first made news, Kher took to social media to set the record straight before the rumours went out of hand. The actor released a statement revealing that his wife has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer, and is currently undergoing treatment. Of late, the actress has also been making special appearances in videos and Instagram Live sessions of her son, Sikandar Kher, interacting with fans and letting them know she is okay. Anupam now reveals the whole family is staying optimistic as they focus on getting Kirron better. He says, 'Optimism does help in the fight. My grandfather used to say, ‘Don’t go through the problem twice. Once when you are thinking about it, and next when you are going through it’. So, mein uske baare mein itna kyun sochun.'
