Amitabh Bachchan, the 78-year-old megastar, took to his blog to jot down a lengthy list of contributions towards initiatives other than COVID-19 relief, hours after Manjinder Singh Sirsa, president of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, tweeted that the veteran star had donated Rs 2 crore to Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur COVID Care Centre at New Delhi’s Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib to combat the ongoing health crisis in the national capital. In the post, the 'Piku' star said he has extended help to as many people as possible since last year when the pandemic hit the nation. Responding to a section of netizens, who criticised big film personalities for not using their social capital towards the COVID-19 crisis in the country, Bachchan said it is 'embarrassing' to publicise about charity work that one does.
