Samir Soni bids adieu to social media says, 'Good luck, you fine young people'
In today's times, social media works as boon and bane both. On one hand it serves as one of the essential modes of communication, on the other it also leads to online bullying and harassment. In the past, several B-Town stars like Sonakshi Sinha, Aamir Khan, Hazel Keech have quit social media. While some of them found it sickening, others termed it pretentious! Joining the bandwagon are actors Amit Sadh and Samir Soni. Amit Sadh recently took to his social media account to make an announcement about leaving the platform. The actor in a long note mentioned that his gym videos and Instagram reels are not going to help combat these tough times in the country. A portion of his note is read as, 'Reach out to people who make very few salaries, who have two 0s or three 0s in their salary, help the daily wage earners, because they suffer the most. Life must go on even though I feel very burdened. I am disheartened when we do not acknowledge the seriousness and do not address it. We cannot behave that everything is okay; this is a pandemic. I will continue to do what is expected of me, wear a mask, maintain a social distance of 6-feet, step out when necessary, follow protocols and rules. I am going to be vigilant, and I urge you all to do the same. I hope things gets better to a point where I can start being goofy and silly again.' Similarly, actor Samir Soni also has bid adieu to Instagram.
