Akshay, who had been shooting in the UK for his film 'Cinderella', rushed back to Mumbai to be with her and his family. The actor shared the news of his mother's passing in an emotional note on Wednesday morning. He tweeted: 'She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti.' Her funeral was held at Pawan Hans crematorium in Mumbai. Now, as social media sees an outpouring of condolence messages and support for Akshay Kumar and his family, a netizen unearthed an old picture of the superstar and his parents, leaving many emotional. The actor is seen in his teens in the picture which shows him posing with his mom and dad. The actor often set the bar high for sons everywhere, always seen eager to do lovely things to keep his mom happy and spend time with her.
