After controversial 'Two Indias', Vir Das announces Mumbai gig, promises it will be ‘distanced, vaccinated, sanitised, tested'

Actor-comedian Vir Das is known for his impeccable comic skills and enjoys a massive fan following on social media. However, recently he was in the spotlight after his monologue 'Two Indias' received backlash from different quarters of society. Now, most recently Vir announced that he will be performing back to back 10 shows at Mumbai's iconic Jamshed Bhabha Theatre at the NCPA (National Centre for the Performing Arts). Vir made the announcement by dropping a video titled 'Wanted' that has Bitter Sweet Symphony playing in the background as several voices are heard talking about how he featured in headlines for his performance at John F Kennedy Centre in Washington DC. And the video ends with a voice saying, “Aaj hum chahte hain ki humara desh Vir Das jaise logo ko pahchane (We want our country to recognise people like Vir Das)." In the caption he wrote, 'Mumbai!
