Actress Kaumudi Walokar, known for her roles in the film Me Vasantrao and the Marathi show Aai Kuthe Kay Karte, got engaged to Aakash Chowkase, an educationist based in the USA. Speaking to us, an excited Kaumudi shared, “It was an intimate affair with our respective families and a few of our friends in attendance. Aakash is a post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Berkeley, California. Both of us want to be changemakers and we walked the talk at our engagement by keeping the ceremony eco-friendly. A female purohit conducted the rituals and we kept it as simple as we could.”Sharing that it was like a day out for their families, Kaumudi added, “We all had fun, enjoyed each other’s company and had good food. We also had a drum circle for everyone to bond over.”
