These younsgters who are fine-arts students at the CSJM University, Kanpur, have a deep concern for environment conservation. Keeping the environment in mind, these students are making idols of Ganesh-Lakshmi for Diwali. Instead of using plaster of of Paris, these students are making the idols with clay. The idea is to make idols which would get easily dissolved in water and do not disturb the aquatic life. With this initiative, the students also want Kanpurites to know about their artistic work. The students have planned to make around 2000 Ganesh-Lakshmi idols and selling them before Diwali.
