A registration camp for the surgery for children with congenital cleft lip and cleft palate was organized by the Smile Train India, an NGO providing cleft surgeries, on Friday under the National Child Health Program, at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Joint District Hospital in Akbarpur in Ambedkar Nagar district. What made the event special was the presence of Miss Diva Universe 2019 Vartika Singh, who is also the Goodwill Ambassador of Smile Train Foundation.
The event kick-started with Vartika lighting the inaugural lamp along with Dr Vaibhav Khanna, Project Director, Smile Train, who also briefed about the cleft repair treatment.
