As the Lucknow Metro resumed its services, after being suspended since March due to the COVID-19 pandemic, around 7000 passengers travelled on the first day of its operations on Monday, September 7.Giving more information about it, Kumar Keshav, MD, Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) said, "This ridership is as against 72000 on weekdays prior to COVID. This is the beginning after a long lockdown and during the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic. It will improve gradually. The situation is similar in other Metros also."
