A 5km walkathon was recently organized from 1090 Women’s Helpline Chauraha to Nawab Wajid Ali Shah Zoological Park. The chief guest for the walkathon was Jaiveer Singh, Minister of Tourism while the special guests included KP Malik, Additional Chief Secretary, Environment, Forest and Climate Change Department, Govt. of UP and well-known folk singer Malini Awasthi. Padma Shri and Arjuna awardee international athlete Sudha Singh lead the walkathon to create awareness and sensitize the general public towards wetlands and birds.
