An evening of thumri, dadra and ghazal was recently organised as a tribute to the legendary ghazal queen Begum Akhtar at the late singer’s mazaar in the city. Continuing a tradition dating back to 2013, the mazaar once again was filled with music lovers and admirers of Begum Akhtar to listen to singer Koyel Dasgupta singing Akshtar’s compositions. \n
