The Kalady-based Sree Sankara School of Dance launched a Vision 2020 programme and kicked off the first show at Changampuzha Park, Edappally. The aim of Vision 2020 is to identify and promote professional dancers and the inaugural show saw seven new choreographic dances staged by 21 dancers, including teachers, from the school. The dances were performed to a poem by Rajeev Alungal and Narayana Guru’s works ‘Kundalinippattu’, ‘Kali natakam’ and ‘Siva Prasad Panchakam’. The programme commenced with Adi Sankara’s famous work ‘Ganesha Pancharatnam’.
