The story of kaliyamardhanam is quite a popular one among both young and old in our country. In the much-loved story, we hear that during his childhood at Vrindavan, Lord Krishna dances on the multiple hoods of the snake named Kaliyan, which resided in the river that was flowing through Vrindavan. Kaliyan’s presence and poison had turned the water of river Kalindi dark in colour. In the event held at Changampuzha Park, artiste Kalamandalam Haritha staged this story through the art form of Koodiyattam.
