World Environment Day is an initiative of the United Nations Organisation. Every year, June 5 is celebrated as the environment day and plants are widely planted across the globe. Alongside that, many cleaning drives and air pollution awareness drives are held. This year, it was also held in many places of Kochi. Hotel Crowne Plaza also organised it in their premises. They planted trees, organised free air testing for vehicles and also did a clean up drive. The programme was held on June 6.
