A bharatanatya kacheri isn’t an item that you see on a culture programme brochure very often. As opposed to a regular bharatanatyam performance that lasts a few minutes, a kacheri version of the art form can be hours long. It can also be structured, just like a classical music concert. Recently, 17-year-old Amrutha Varsha Kannan, from Paravoor, presented a bharatanatya kacheri at Changampuzha Park in Kochi. \n
