Taking cue from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Fit India Movement, Siri Fort Sports Complex launched a four-day sports carnival for its 10,000 members this Wednesday. The grand opening of the carnival was held at the cricket ground in the complex and was attended by Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal and Member of Parliament Meenakshi Lekhi. Boxer Mary Kom was the guest of honour at the event, along with Lt Gen Asit Mistry, General Officer Commanding, Headquarters Delhi Area, Radhey Shyam Julaniya, Union Sports Secretary, and Tarun Kapoor, Vice Chairman, Delhi Development Authority.
