Vadodara's PadWoman Swati Bedekar continues to inspire people with her journey

Vadodara’s PadWoman Swati Bedekar, whose work has won recognition not just in Gujarat but everywhere, is celebrating her birthday today. Earlier this year, she was honoured on a special TV show titled Super Night With PadMan, where none other than Akshay Kumar, who starred in the film PadMan, interviewed her along with other notable women achievers like Mithali Raj and Manushi Chhillar. Talking about the taboo surrounding menstrual hygiene in India, she shares, “While things are better now, we need to do more. Our daughters must not drop out of school for reasons like these, they deserve better!”
