Tango Glory! Argentine Duo Wins Salon Category At World Championship

Argentine dancers Diego Ortega and Aldana Silveyra triumphed in Buenos Aires, winning the prestigious World Tango Salon title. The competition brought together dancers from over 50 nations, showcasing both amateurs and professionals. Contestants reached the finals through global preliminaries, with the Gran Rex Theater erupting in applause on September 1 as the pair was crowned champions. The event was a highlight of the Tango BA Festival, held from August 20 to September 2, which featured more than 500 cultural programs, including concerts, dance classes, and performances by over 2,000 artists, curated by the Buenos Aires Ministry of Culture.
