House Speaker Mike Johnson insisted “there’s nothing to hide” as he defended the House bill to release the full Jeffrey Epstein files. Johnson said President Trump has “clean hands” and is only “frustrated” that Democrats turned the issue into political theater. He claimed Democrats blocked a unanimous consent vote despite demanding transparency, arguing their “entire game plan” now revolves around Epstein. Johnson said the GOP will push the bill again next week, noting the Oversight Committee is already releasing far more, flight logs, personal records, financial ledgers, and daily schedules, making the Democratic discharge petition “moot” and “purely political.”
