Seven days into the escalating Iran–US–Israel war, the conflict shows no sign of slowing. In a new development, Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian says several countries have quietly started mediation efforts to end the war. While he did not name them, Qatar, Turkey, Egypt and Oman have all offered to broker talks since the US and Israel launched joint strikes on Iran. But Tehran says any mediation must address those who “ignited the conflict.” On the battlefield, the war is intensifying. Israeli strikes are pounding Tehran in what officials call a new phase of the campaign, while the US has deployed B-2 stealth bombers dropping bunker-busting penetrator bombs on Iran’s underground missile sites. The death toll inside Iran has now crossed 1,200. Iran, meanwhile, is vowing retaliation, launching missiles and drones across the region, triggering alerts from Tel Aviv to Saudi, UAE and other Gulf nations. Inside Iran, Khamenei's son Mojtaba Khamenei is emerging as his potential successor. Catch up with latest updates on Day 7 of the war.
