The portion of the underground Metro tunnel between College of Agriculture and Civil Court in Shivajinagar is nearly complete. The tunnel-boring machine has reached the Civil Court station site. The remainder of the tunnel — a 50-metre stretch — will be excavated using controlled blasting, Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited officials said. The Civil Court station is being developed as an interchange station as two lines meet here. Here, commuters will be able to switch from the underground line to the elevated line.
