Pune: Metro depot construction in full swing on former garbage transfer station site

Construction work is in full swing at Pune’s Hill view metro depot. Once known as Vanaz garbage depot, it will now cater to the rakes on the fully elevated Vanaz-Ramwadi route. After entering the depot, the rakes will travel to the washing plants, maintenance, stabling lines, and engineering units. The metro depot is coming up on a 12.2-hectare plot of land that earlier served as a garbage transfer station for PMC.
