Muzaffarpur: Bihar CM Nitish Kumar unveils statue of George Fernandes

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar unveiled a life-size statue of former Union Defence Minister George Fernandes on the occasion of his 90th birth anniversary at his 'karmabhoomi' Muzaffarpur via video-conferencing. The statue has been installed at the Muzaffarpur's City Park, whereas Nitish unveiled it from the CM residence in Patna during a state event organised at Muzaffarpur district headquarters. George, a veteran trade union leader, represented Muzaffarpur in the Lok Sabha for several years. Nitish also unveiled a prototype of George’s life-size statue at the CM residence and paid floral tributes to the leader.
