Janta Dal (United) National President and MP Rajiv Ranjan (Lalan) Singh on August 01 welcomed Patna High Court’s judgment dismissing the petitions challenging the Bihar government’s caste-based survey.“We welcome Patna High Court's dismissal of the petitions (challenging Bihar Govt’s Caste based survey). The conspiracy by BJP has failed...We want this to happen, we are not talking about a loss or victory. We are saying that we want to have the survey to form schemes of public welfare,” said Lalan Singh. Patna High Court on August 01 dismissed all petitions challenging the conduct of a caste survey in Bihar by the state government. The caste survey in Bihar is slated to be carried out in two phases.
