‘Will support CAA but not NRC’: Maha CM Uddhav Thackeray

Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray has stated that he will not support the NRC even though he will back the CAA. He clarified that the CAA was not about taking away citizenship rights from anyone, but about citizenship for persecuted minorities from neighbouring countries. He also said that proving citizenship would be difficult for anyone, be it Hindu or Muslim.
