Nationalist Congress Party MP and her party’s leader of the house in the Lok Sabha, Supriya Sule, said on Tuesday that while she disapproved of the fact that a part of Ranaut's bungalow which she used as an office was razed by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) last week, the actress’ comments on drugs in Bollywood were out of line. She said, “Even if a mistake is made in isolation, we can correct it and move on. We have bigger fish to fry. We have challenges like Covid-19 and unemployment to deal with.” Asked about Pawar's reservations regarding the BMC action on the actress, Sule said, "He's the boss of the party and my father. So obviously that is the party line. And I think if there's a mistake made in isolation somewhere, you can always correct it and move on.” The MP added that the issue of "drug abuse by Bollywood celebrities alone is misplaced". Sule said, "It's unfortunate that people are linking certain professions to drugs. It's not the profession that's at fault. It's always the people.” Regarding the India-China tensions, the four-time parliamentarian said that her party is with the Centre "against anyone who is against India". But, she added, "It's not fair to name any country. I am a big one for diplomacy.” On last year's political drama involving cousin Ajit Pawar, Sule said, "I have only gratitude for the BJP. Neither my friends, home, or school taught me. It was a short bad dream. I am proud of my brother Ajit. There hasn't been one day that he hasn't led from the front since the Covid outbreak."
