Thane: KDMC chief makes surprise visit to city's skywalk, suspends 3 senior civic officials

Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) commissioner Dr Vijay Surywanshi suspended 3 senior civic officials for not taking action against illegal hawkers on skywalk at Kalyan and Dombivli railway stations. The video of KDMC chief has also gone viral on social media in which he can be seen roaming around the skywalk with only one of his security guard. After his visit, he ordered his staff to clear hawkers from skywalk giving them a time of just an hour. The three suspended civic officials are identified as Ganesh Mane, chief of Anti Hawkers Squad, Bharat Pawar, ward officer of K ward and Deepak Shinde ward officer of F ward.
