Speaking on the Relevance of the Blue Economy and Responsible Artificial Intelligence (AI) to Securing Artificial Intelligence (SAI), India's G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant on June 12 highlighted that the Supreme Audit Institutions have a crucial role to play in the audit of Blue Economy and Responsible AI to ensure good governance, transparency, and accountability and to optimise their positive impact on humankind. Amitabh Kant said, “Supreme audit institution is a very important engagement group right now. They are discussing 2 very important issues of Blue Economy and Artificial Intelligence especially in the context of generative intelligence. So we look forward to the recommendation of all the CAGs on how to take forward both outcomes. These are very major issues for the G20 meeting.” He further said, “Artificial intelligence is a burning issue. While it's an area of innovation, excitement & fear. it's important to see what kind of issues can we discuss without bringing formal government regulation so that there is a focus on ensuring a good ethical dimension to artificial intelligence.”
