Nagpur: Police bid farewell to sniffer dog after 10 years of service

Raja a well disciplined sniffer dog of Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) of Nagpur police got a farewell in Nagpur on February 4. Though Raja has put in successful service of 10 years, he wont be getting any pension which would put pressure on the handler who has adopted the sniffer. Raja, a dog was born on February 4, 2011 and it was procured by Nagpur Police on March 30, 2011. After six months of training, it was handled by head constable Akilesh Rai Thakur and Rajesh Belokar. BDDS is now left with three sniffers dogs.
