As heavy rains lashed the city of Mumbai, it has made life difficult for the people. The video footage from Mumbai's Nair Hospital shows water is logged in the Covid-19 OPD of the hospital, due to the rains. Nair Hospital is a designated Covid hospital in Mumbai. It has made it difficult for the staff to manage the waterlogging and they are using buckets and vipers to remove the excess flow of water. Mumbai's municipal commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal has appealed to Mumbaikars to stay indoors due to the heavy rains that have thrown life out of gear. In a Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) release, Chahal has appealed to Mumbaikars not to step out of their homes, unless it is an emergency. Chahal has also asked that all offices and establishments in the city, barring essential services, be shut on Wednesday due to the downpour and IMD's forecast of 'heavy to very heavy rains' in the city. Heavy rains have been lashing Mumbai since Tuesday.
