Mumbai: Congress leader Milind Deora resigns, likely to join Shinde led Shiv Sena
Congress leader Milind Deora has officially resigned from the primary membership of the Congress party, thereby concluding his family's 55-year association with the political entity. Making the announcement on social media platform X, he tweeted, "Today marks the conclusion of a significant chapter in my political journey." This decision comes after Deora expressed dissatisfaction with the Shiv Sena (UBT) staking a claim to the Mumbai South Lok Sabha constituency, a move that he openly criticized. Notably, on the preceding Saturday, Deora had dismissed rumors surrounding his potential departure from the party.
