Reacting to the gruesome murder in Thane’s Mira Road, where a woman was killed and her body was dismembered by her live-in partner, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Supriya Sule on June 08 condemned the BJP-led Central Government. NCP MP said, “What was the government doing when the incident took place in the hostel? Why there were no alarms or security cameras? Isn’t the security of girls, a priority for them? This is the failure of the Home Ministry. ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ is a hollow promise. I also condemned the way the Government treated the Gold medalist girls in the Olympics in Delhi.”
