Janmashtami: Specially-abled Govindas form human pyramid in Mumbai
On the occasion of Krishana Janmashtami, a group of specially-abled Govindas formed human pyramid and participated in Dahi Handi festivities. Dahi handi ritual is part of the Janmashtami festival in which Govindas, dressed in colourful attire, make human pyramid to break a pot containing buttermilk. Several programmes of dahi handi were organised across Maharashtra and other parts of India. Police cautioned people against formation of high human pyramids on the occasion, so as to avert any untoward incident. The festival is being celebrated with religious fervor and gaiety across the country.
