Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has claimed that they have the support of 52 MLAs. Speaking to ANI, senior party leader Nawab Malik said,"52 MLAs of the party have come back to us, one more is in touch with us." Earlier, the party tried to get Ajit Pawar on board. On Sunday, the party had sent Jayant Patil as an emissary to Ajit Pawar’s residence in an attempt to persuade him to walk back from his stated position. Ajit Pawar claimed that BJP-NCP alliance will give a stable government in Maharashtra.
