Cyclone Tauktae: Mumbai airport closure extended

The closure of Mumbai airport extended till 6pm today after heavy rains and strong winds lash Mumbai because of the cyclonic storm over the Arabian Sea. Several areas in Mumbai also reported waterlogging due to heavy rain. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that Cyclone Tauktae has now intensified into an "extremely severe cyclonic storm". It is likely to reach Gujarat coast by Monday evening and cross the state coast between 8pm and 11pm, the IMD said.
