While speaking to the media persons over the photograph posted from his official Twitter account purportedly showing Maharashtra BJP president Chandrashekhar Bawankule at a casino, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut said that he didn’t know whose photo is that, someone told him that he is a prominent personality from Maharashtra and is in Macau at a casino. He said, “I don't know whose photo is that. Someone told me that he is a prominent personality from Maharashtra and is in Macau at a casino...Within a span of 2-4 hours, he spent Rs 3.5 Crores...It means there is 'achhe din' in Maharashtra suddenly. BJP says that he is their member, we didn't say it...People do go to Bangkok, Switzerland. What is there to hide? But what is the condition of Maharashtra? It is serious. Going to casino and spending crores of Rupees...Is that right?..”On the other hand, Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis lashed out at Sanjay Raut and said that Sanjay Raut has a distorted mentality, an incomplete photo has been deliberately tweeted, in the complete photo, Bawankule were visible with his wife, daughter, and entire family. Fadnavis said, “Sanjay Raut's distorted mentality is visible in it, how desperate he has, Chandrashekhar Bawankule stayed in that hotel with his entire family, where he had dinner, the restaurant and casino are at the same place, an incomplete photo has been deliberately tweeted, in the complete photo, Bawankule will be visible there with his wife, daughter and entire family is visible in it, this distorted mentality should be ended, it should be stopped, so much frustration is not right, what can be a lower level than this where you make such allegations by posting morphed photos, this level of politics has to be lowered”.
