Andheri bridge collapse and heavy rain cause massive traffic snarls in Mumbai

The commuters in Mumbai witnessed massive traffic jam due to heavy rains and collapse of part of a road over bridge in Andheri at 7:30 am on the morning of 3rd July. The bridge was used by thousands of commuters every day. After the incident, the traffic police closed the Gokhale flyover which connects Andheri East to Andheri West. The traffic police also advised commuters to follow certain routes to avoid chaos. Waterlogging has also caused traffic snarls on Santacruz- Chembur link road.
