In Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat, a 10-year-old boy was seen carrying the dead body of his 2-year-old brother as district hospital officials reportedly refused to provide a hearse. The toddler was killed when his step-mother threw him under a car. He was declared brought dead at the hospital. However, the family’s tragedy was made worse due to official apathy. 10-year-old Sagar and his father Praveen Kumar, a labourer picked up the body and began walking towards their home as it was already getting late. Later, however, senior officials came to know about the incident and provided a vehicle to transport the dead body. Baghpat CMO also blamed the family, saying they refused to wait for an ambulance.
