Leaders of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) held a meeting in Varanasi on March 17. Tourism Ministers of all the countries of the SCO participated in the meeting. The meeting was held to promote international tourism. Minister for Culture, Tourism and Development of North Eastern Region G Kishan Reddy participated in the meeting representing India. While talking to ANI, a delegate from Uzbekistan said, “Indian presidency will have a big positive impact on further development of fruitful multilateral cooperation within SCO.”In the last meeting of SCO, Varanasi was declared as the tourism capital.
