Railway Protection Force (RPF) dog named ‘Don’ - who was part of Mathura RPF in Uttar Pradesh retired on December 14 after seven years of service. Don got a new owner as he is retired after completion of its service.While speaking to ANI on December 13, RG Verma, ASI, RPF, DOG Squad, Mathura said “I received him when he was two months old. I trained him and raised him like my child. Due to some medical condition, he is unable to discharge government duties and hence he has been auctioned. He helped us in many cases of RPF and was used in cases of robbery, and theft. I am feeling sad.The new owner of the dog also to ANI, he said, “I've seen him earlier also and when I came to know that he is being auctioned and I purchased him. I am very happy. He is well-trained. I will treat him like my family member.”
