UP govt stops salaries of 298 madrasa staff

The Uttar Pradesh government has cracked a whip on illegal madrassas in the state. The Yogi Adityanath government has stopped the salaries of nearly 298 staff and teachers at 43 madrassas as they have not apparently submitted required documents. UP Minority welfare and Mulsim Waqf Board minister Laxmi Narayan Chaudhary told the legislative council that there are total of 560 madrassas are in the state. He said 43 madrassas have failed to submit relevant documents.
