UP government gives nod for home isolation in Noida, Ghaziabad
The Uttar Pradesh government on Monday allowed home isolation of asymptomatic patients. The government relaxed its earlier position that anybody found to have Covid needs to be admitted to hospitals. Cases have been rising sharply in Noida and Ghaziabad amid concerns about infrastructure to tackle the increasing infection rate. CM Yogi Adityanath said the decision was aimed at encouraging more people to share information about their health. Guidelines prepared by a committee say that anyone below of 60 will be allowed home isolation if he or she is asymptomatic.
