UP: Cops save stranded commuters on Mathura road as 'Agnipath' protesters pelt stones

Protesters in Uttar Pradesh had resorted to violence at many places in the state on June 17. In Mathura, protesters angered over the govt’s Agnipath scheme for recruitment in armed forces pelted stones on buses, cars and autos and commuters were seen running for cover. One video shows a policeman coming to the rescue of an elderly couple who were in danger of being hit by stones. The policeman reached the couple and used his own shield to protect the couple. The policemen were also seen taking stranded passengers to safety and tackling the stone pelters.
