Congress Alleges CPI(M)-BJP Nexus, Accuses Vijayan of Dodging Probes via Central Agencies
Congress leader V D Satheesan has intensified his attack on the Kerala government, alleging a covert understanding between the CPI(M) and the BJP ahead of the Assembly elections. He claimed that central agencies like the Enforcement Directorate and the Central Bureau of Investigation have failed to act on key corruption cases, including SNC-Lavalin and gold smuggling investigations.Satheesan accused Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan of targeting Rahul Gandhi to remain in the BJP’s favour and avoid scrutiny. He also alleged that interactions between police officials and RSS leaders influenced electoral outcomes, including the BJP’s win in Thrissur in 2024.Rejecting allegations against himself, Satheesan denied any links with RSS-backed groups and accused both the CPI(M) and BJP of working in tandem. He maintained that a future UDF government would investigate serious allegations without pursuing vendetta politics.
