This year, Vrindavan widows gathered at the historic Gopinath temple on Sunday and celebrated an eco-friendly Diwali to fight against rising air pollution. The widows, some of them in their 90s, celebrated a ‘Green Diwali’ by singing hymns and lighting earthen lamps. The event was organised by Sulabh International, which takes care of more than 900 widows living in different parts of Vrindavan.
