In a shocking incident, a journalist was thrashed black and blue by a GRP cop and other officials when he questioned them about a train derailment in Dhimanpura in Uttar Pradesh. Two wagons of a goods train derailed in Shamli near Dhimanpura yesterday. The victim Amit Sharma was there to know the details about the train derailment. Few days ago, the victim did a story about illegal vendor and hawker nexus in train due to which the local GRP was irritated with him. And yesterday when he was covering the derailment story, he was gheraoed by not only by the GRP cops but also by the management. He was beaten in front of the police. Further, he was dragged to the police station and locked up inside the jail.
