On cam: Dalit man thrashed on suspicion he 'sold off' his daughter, dies

The man being kicked and beaten with lathis in full view of neighbours is a dalit man Sarvesh Diwakar. Struggling with money, the man had sent his daughter away to live with a relative in Noida for a while. However, someone spread the rumour that he had sold off his daughter. Some locals gathered and beat him up badly, leaving him badly injured. Video clips show five men beating him up with sticks as he lies, writhing in pain.
